I’m so pleased to announce my workshop in Paris, France!
Saturday & Sunday
January 11th & 12th, 2020
10 AM – 2PM
8 students max
Location: Central Paris TBA
One story or novel section, 25 pages max (double spaced, 12 point font)
Each student receives 30 minutes workshop discussion in class and a 30 minute private follow-up conference with instructor, in Paris or via Skype
Manuscripts due to class: Sunday, December 29th, 2019
This is an intimate feedback workshop for short stories and novel excerpts. Manuscripts are distributed and read in advance, and will receive written comments from the instructor and class, as well as a thorough exploration of the work’s merits and opportunities for revision. Craft topics will be discussed and explored as needed, as will the long arc of a writer’s life. Your private meeting with Valerie can be self-directed to discuss revision or any other aspect of the life or practice of writing.
