Roommate Wanted

I’m looking for a female roommate for my top-floor duplex in Southside Park, which is the southern end of downtown. It’s a great apartment, full of light and color. Not large, but enough space for two people to share comfortably. It’s not large enough for more than two people, so hard no to couples or parents with underage kids.

Your room would be medium-large and has French doors. There are ceiling fans in every room, and central heating/air. The bathroom is large, but has a shower only (no tub). We have a large shared backyard (neighbors below us) and (free, shared) laundry in the basement. Your room would be unfurnished, but the rest of the apartment is fully furnished.

I’ve lived in the apartment for nine years and have had three roommates so far. I’m looking for a stable, companionable living situation.

I’m a female Gen-X writer with one book published. I co-direct a local arts nonprofit and have a remote HR job. I’m an introvert, but a warm and friendly one with a high EQ. I like food, travel, walks, and a wide variety of cultural events.

I have two cats (a senior cat and an energetic kitten), so you should like cats and not be allergic. If you have one cat, I should be able to get another approved. No to dogs or other pets.

I’m looking for another introvert or a respectful extrovert beyond their party years. I keep early hours out of necessity, and would prefer someone aligned with that. When you write, please share why you think we might make compatible roommates. Thank you!
